Monica and John's visit (Continued)

After visiting us in St Louis, Monica and John went up to New York State to spend time with his family.  After being there a week, John proposed to Monica, and we couldn't be happier for them.  We are also looking forward to when we can meet John's family.  Pictures from their time in St Louis plus the photos from when John proposed to Monica are in the photo album below.

Thanksgiving Day Guests

This is one of my favorite photos of Thanksgiving Day.  My parents invite soldiers from Ft Bliss over for Thanksgiving that aren't able to spend the holiday with their families.

Walk in the Park

Had a nice walk around the park close to our house with our dog Jade, and thought I would share a picture of the lake at the park. It was nice that it was no quite as hot today.

New Jack Word photo

In addition, some service docs from when he was in the service as an Army Corpsman, letters that were written in testimony to his services to under privileged students in El Paso, and a link to information about the unit he was in can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/artword300/home/jack-l-word.  It is believed that he earned the Bronze Medal while serving in the Colmar Pocket.
